For those who like things sweet + tart + smokey + spicy, this is my favorite cranberry sauce recipe (yes, it’s my favorite part of the meal):

  • Grab a sauce pan
  • Chop fine then sauté a shallot and some fresh ginger in the pan
  • Throw in a bag of cranberries
  • Add two big spoonfuls of brown sugar
  • Add a splash of bourbon
  • Add a splash of maple syrup
  • Zest an orange into the pan
  • Cook until it’s jam consistency
  • Enjoy!
